Screaming as Therapy In a world that demands your constant output, your attention and your energy… we offer something radically different: The freedom to scream. Mwalimu Place opens its doors to you. Come here to slow down. To decompress without guilt. To reconnect with yourself, nature and community. The world asks a lot from you and sometimes the most productive thing you can do is decompress. That is why we are inviting you to Screaming as Therapy on Sunday 28th June from 11am - 3pm. Venue: Mwalimu Place, Thika, Muruka - Kandara road. Whether you come alone, with friends, or with your team, this is your invitation to decompress. We play with mud for an hour, then we go screaming in nature, then we have lunch and then we create a safe space for a no judgement discussion. We will then let out all the pent-up energy that is no longer serving us by screaming in nature. After this session, you can take a nap on the grass, read a book, share stories with others, draw, colour, stretch or meditate. Some of the words used to describe us are cool, calm and relaxing. Kaharuka, who is one of our regulars, usually says “I needed that" after every session. Other people have described playing in the mud here as therapeutic and soothing. And why do we do this? Because you matter! Because you deserve to decompress Because you are worthy of relief Because you have permission to relax Entry is Kshs. 1,000 and it covers tea, activities, lunch and garden access. For visitors coming from Nairobi via public transport, you can go to nyamakima Total petrol station (Rhino) and take Kigumo T Sacco matatus (public bus) going to Kenol. It's Kshs. 150 You then alight at Makenji (Kenneth Matiba Hospital) just after Montezuma Funeral Home. From Makenji you take a Tuktuk to njira inya junction which is a few metres after the Muruka shopping centre. This is kshs. 50. If you're coming from the Murang’a, Kenol or Nyeri direction, alight at Makenji (Kenneth Matiba Hospital) and then take a Tuktuk to njira inya junction.
