ÀÌKÚ ~ a leaf weaving & rock etching workshop w/ group discussions & room for non verbal expression in the realm of eternity, grief & inner healing. this event is in collaboration with @aleme.space and all tickets come with complimentary Ethiopian coffee & popcorn This workshop is for us to begin to connect and commune with the earth from a place of grief, in a safe, communal space, re connecting us to the spiritual healing that comes with a shared belief in eternity and the transcendence and empowerment of our inward, timeless spirits beyond the constraints of the physical dimensions of reality & mortality. This can be a heavy & layered topic, so we’ll be exploring it through varied, optional interactions ~ group discussion ~ inward reflection ~ scriptural & cross-cultural references ~ Yoruba non verbal Àrokò symbolic communication ~ personal ways of seeing & remembering ~ the gentle repetitive practice of leaf weaving ~ the rawness of symbolic rock etching
