BABE! follows these three women across a single stretch of time via phone calls, social media lives, and a series of mounting crises as the threads connecting them pull tighter and snap. When Liz accidentally goes viral after grabbing Kanana's phone and delivering a raw, unscripted takedown of the "girl boss" fantasy, the fallout fractures their friendship and briefly makes them all famous for reasons none of them chose. Set between a Kenyan village losing its land and a Nairobi highway full of hawkers, loan sharks, and matatus, the film is a dark comedy about bodies, bills, and the particular exhaustion of being a woman who knows exactly what is wrong with her health, her country, her relationship and has been given no tools to fix any of it.
